Geoff Bruty – HMS Seraph

I had a friend, Allen Witt, who was an officer on HMS Seraph and I went on board when she was at HMS Dolphin in Gosport. The thing I remember about her was that there was a brass plate on the door of the officers’ heads that said “General Mark Clarke sat here”. She was also famous for her role in Operation Mincemeat (The Man Who Never Was).
